I welcome comments on the male of a new orthoclad species that I intend to describe. Most features fit Smittia - such as pubescent eyes, subapical seta on antenna, costa extended, about 3 short acrostichals (present in some Smittia), and long tapered anal point with rounded apex - but the gonostylus and virga are "unusual for the genus". I have attached 3 photos that should be helpful, and I could e-mail higher-resolution versions of these or other images to anyone expressing interest.
The paired virga (see the second figure, "DSCN1329") and the gonostylus are quite similar to those in Aagaardia longicalcis, but my specimens don't seem to belong to Aagaardia or other genera that include species with a similar gonostylus, such as Pseudosmittia, Prosmittia, etc.

It resembles Trondia or other related members of Pseudosmittia complex, but your specimen with hairy eye. The special spine in Gs can also be observed in Prosmittia fabioi. It's better put in genus Smittia or create a new genus?
